Enough is Enough
We constantly think over the mistakes we committed, the opportunities we lost, the right choices we could not make, the risky(at the time) decisions we could not take. Forgetting the basic fact that we, in most of the cases not in a position to change the past or alter the situation.
My friend, worry and guilt carry us to a place where it burns our present and makes the future dark. This time when your mind remind you of any of the above, ask it that
Is it possible to change the scenario:
If it is yes, you are having one more choice and more time to think over the decission already made. If it is no, try hard to forget it in the least possible time.
Is it your confusion or it is real that something went wrong:
Clarify this with available data and information. If it is not enough, google it or grok it. It happens that in many cases we tend to over imagine the situation and outcomes. Overthinking leads you to nowhere except landing you in ocean of un wanted pressure.
No harm is as harmful as you think:
We tend to feel that the outcome of our decission or lost opportunity will be too harsh. No, my friend it is proved in plenty of cases that actual situation is not as disastrous as you think. Our mind is trained to think in a way where there is joy, fear, climax, enthusiasm. Since our situations most of the time fits to think scarily. It takes the option of fear.
Is there anything to loose:
Even though we are not monks, the monk mindset helps us many times in dealing with most dreadful situations which are psychological in nature. We landed in this world with nothing in hands and we are not in a position to carry anything with us while leaving it. Everything we earn while living is only to leave here while dieng. So, whatever may be the situation, how disastrous your mind thinks of the outcome. Just make the mind cool with the simple point that, there is nothing to loose.
If anything or anybody is hurting you because of your past
If yes,
If possible leave that company, if you can't leave, convince them that it won't be repeated, explain them the circumstances at the time.
If they are still hurting you. Convince your mind that, nothing is permanent, everything fades. Keep in mind that, no body in this world should be in a position to hurt you or disturb you. If you are reacting to their words or deeds, you are in their control. Don't keep your remote in anybody's hands and allow them to operate.
If you think sitting in a place that you love the most without any disturbance, you are very much capable of carving out more ways to deal with this situation.
The systematic step by step logical, philosophical thinking is the way.
